My name is Gertrud Rall and I’m coaching humans with their dogs. Regardless of breed, age and life story, I work with you and your dog on your individual problems. After explaining your dog’s behaviour I will help you to influence it while using positive reinforcement and social learning.
Main goal of my coaching is to strengthen your dog’s orientation towards you as his most important social partner. This is a key requirement of every successful training – and a relaxed and pleasant life together with your dog.

Apart from a certain lack of knowledge, many behavioural problems are caused by humanizing the dog. I will help you to see the world through the eyes of your four-legged friend – and to adapt to his (training)needs. That’s me
Dog person since childhood
Being the daughter of a dog breeder, I grew up with dogs. I`ve trained hunting dogs (German Long-Haired Pointers) for many years and was able to lead them successfully at field trials and competitive hunt tests. Due to changes in my lifestyle I’m accompanied by a classical family dog today. My current dog – a male Australian Labradoodle – shows me how joyful it is to live with a well-trained, relaxed family dog.
Through my work at different dog schools, my participation in seminars and advanced trainings (i.a. graduation as Certified Puppy Trainer) and my work as a Dog Writer for different magazines, I have continuously developed a broad cynological expertise.
My philosophy is influenced by renowned cynologists such as Günter Bloch, Dorit Urd Feddersen-Petersen and Udo Ganslosser, some of whom I was able to get to know personally in seminars and training courses (applied learning theory, behavioral biology, recall training, nervousness and aggression in dogs, etc.).

Appreciation and respect for humans as well as animals are the foundation of my work. I take into account the knowledge and experience of each human-dog team and communicate open and honestly. Critical issues I treat with the necessary sensitivity and discretion.
My coaching style benefits in particular from my didactic competencies as a dog writer. This combined with my profound knowledge about learning theory enables me to explain and demonstrate exercises that can be easily understood and successfully trained by every dog owner.
I conduct the initial consultation and the individual sessions as well as each written coaching summary in German or English. (MA English Studies)

Price list
STARTER
My coaching starts with a detailed analysis of your situation. For that I usually visit you at home, where many behavioral problems originate. Based on our discussion, we will define your goals, work out a training plan tailored to your needs and start with the training right away. The first meeting usually lasts 60 to 90 min.
1st Meeting / individual coaching session: CHF 130.– per 60 min/team (incl. home visit, written summary, training instructions and drive up to 10 km distance; > 10 km = CHF 1.50/km)
BASIC
At different locations in the neighbourhood (Wollerau/Höfe) we work on the basic training of your dog such as orientation towards you, basic commands, loose leash walking or reliable recall. Each coaching session starts with a brief review of what has been learned last time. This is followed by further training units, which I explain and demonstrate in detail. For better understanding and sustainable learning I summarize each session in writing.
Basic subscription*: CHF 600.– (5 x 60 min, incl. video analysis, written summaries, training instructions and 1 x free participation Social Walk)
ADVANCED
Your dog already has a certain amount of basic training but you still have specific issues such as hunting behavior, dog encounters, barking or problems with staying alone. After the initial meeting (STARTER) we will address these in detail. We will meet at different places around (Wollerau/Höfe). In several coaching sessions that build on each other, I will guide you to get a lasting grip on your problems.
Advanced subscription*: CHF 600.– (5 x 60 min, incl. written summaries and training instructions)
REFRESHER
Dogs only change their behavior through consistent training. This is not always easy to maintain during every day life and mistakes can quickly creep in. We repeat, consolidate and extend basic exercises. Besides that there is some time to focus on your specific challenges.

ACTIVATOR
You would like to do something useful with your dog? Nosework is an ideal enrichment to keep your dog mentally and physically active. Besides that it promotes your dog’s orientation towards you and makes the two of you an even stronger team in everyday life. I will show you how to build up search and retrieve so that you both quickly can enjoy and profit from it. (dummy training)
Activator subscription*: CHF 480.– (4 x 60 min) per team. (Can be booked for 2 – 4 participants also. Price on request)
TIME SAVER
You would like to have a well-behaved dog but don’t have enough time, energy or experience to take the training into your own hands? As an experienced dog trainer I will start to train your dog myself. After successfully implementing the defined training goals I will coach you how to further consolidate the progress during your everyday life. (Price on request)
Social Walk (for clients only): subscription* (5x) CHF 175.–
(*All subscriptions are valid for one human dog team and for 6 months; appointments can be canceled free of charge up to 24 hours in advance. After that they will be fully charged.)
